Warriors of the Month
Greener Pastures is excited to feature a new section on our website: GP Warrior of the Month. The page will showcase various personal experiences with cancer, shared by people who are either still undergoing treatment or in remission. While every person’s battle is different, all of our “Warriors” represent courage and an amazing spirit.
Please take this opportunity to learn more, not only about cancer, but how it affects the lives of each person differently and those around them. Greener Pastures is happy to celebrate and support all of our Warriors — we hope you’ll join us!

On November 21, 2005, my wife Heather and I became acquainted with the horrible words “malignant pleural mesothelioma.” The day my wife was diagnosed with cancer is one we will never forget. That was also the day I learned how unprepared I was to become a caregiver for someone diagnosed with this awful disease. We had just welcomed our first and only child, Lily, into the world three months prior, and instead of celebrating Lily’s first Christmas as a family, our lives were turned upside down by Heather’s mesothelioma diagnosis. read more
